I can't say I enjoy shopping because I don't always have enough money to buy what I want and because usually there are a lot of people in the shops.

2. Do you enjoy window shopping? Is window shopping typical in this country?

I don't like window shopping. I don't like wasting my time looking at things that I can't afford. But I think window shopping is typical in Ukraine, especially in big cities.

3. Have you ever bought anything from a catalogue or shopped

online? What did you buy?

Yes, I have. I've bought some clothes and shoes online.

4. Have you ever bought anything from a door-to-door salesman or a street vendor? What was it?

Yes, I have. I have bought fast food and souvenirs from street vendors.

5. Do you go to market? If so, do you always go to the same stalls?

Yes, I do. I go to the market but not to the same stalls because I usually look for better and less expensive goods (товары).

6. When you go shopping, what influences your choice more – prices, quality, trade mark, the layout of the shop, etc.?

I think all of these factors influence my choice, but quality is the most important.

7. Are you a bargain-hunter? Do you prefer to wait for the sales before buying things?

Yes, I am a bargain-hunter and I prefer to wait for the sales and discounts because it helps to spend less.

8. What's the best bargain you have ever bought?

A few months ago I bought a cool T-shirt at just 20% of its original cost.

9. Have you ever bought anything on impulse and then regretted it? If so, what was it and what made you buy it?

Well, I haven't. I have never bought anything on impulse and then regretted it.

10. Do you prefer shopping in well-known chainstores or in little boutiques? Why?

It depends on what I need to buy. If it's clothes I prefer shopping in  little boutiques because there's better service there, little shop keepers are friendlier.

11. Where do people haggle over the prices? Have you ever haggled? How successful you were?

People haggle over the prices at the market. I have tried to haggle but I wasn't very successful.

12. Are you saving up for anything at the moment? What is it?

Yes, I am. Now I'm saving up for a new phone.

13. What ways for a student to save up can you suggest?

I suggest making a budget (to control income and expenses) and never buy anything on impulse. Students can borrow books instead of buying them. And it's cheaper to cook meals and eat at home than eating out (питаться в кафе и барах).

14. How has the way of shopping changed over the last 20 years?

The Internet and mobile devices have changed the way shoppers shop. More and more people prefer shopping online. Moreover now there are more eco-aware buyers who prefer buying ecologically-friendly products.

15. How do you think the way of shopping will change over the next 20 years?

I think most shopping will be done online. Cash might disappear and we all will use electronic payment systems.
